Forge Sentinel

Medium construct, unaligned

Forge Sentinels are the standard military unit produced by the Crucible, a pre-Sundering weapon-mind. They are seven-foot humanoid constructs built from an unknown material that predates the Sundering. Each Sentinel is equipped with forged weapons of extraordinary quality and powered by a ley line core that synchronises with other constructs in a tactical network.

Traits

Constructed Resilience. The Sentinel does not need to breathe, eat, drink, or sleep. It is immune to disease.
Network Synchronisation. While within 120 feet of the Crucible or another Forge Sentinel, the Sentinel shares tactical awareness. It cannot be surprised, and attack rolls against it do not benefit from flanking or Pack Tactics.
Void-Resistant Frame. The Sentinel has advantage on saving throws against spells and effects that deal cold or necrotic damage.
Ley Line Core. When the Sentinel is reduced to 0 HP, its core destabilises. Each creature within 5 feet must succeed on a DC 14 DEX save or take 10 (3d6) force damage.

Actions

Multiattack. The Forge Sentinel makes two Forged Blade attacks.
Forged Blade. *Melee Weapon Attack:* +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. *Hit:* 14 (2d8 + 5) slashing damage plus 7 (2d6) force damage.
Ley Bolt (Recharge 5-6). The Sentinel fires a concentrated beam of ley line energy. *Ranged Spell Attack:* +5 to hit, range 60 ft., one target. *Hit:* 28 (8d6) force damage.
Intercept. When a creature the Sentinel can see targets an ally within 5 feet of the Sentinel with an attack, the Sentinel can make itself the target instead.
