Shadow Hound
Medium monstrosity, chaotic evil
Shadow hounds are among the most common Void-spawned predators in Aethara --- the Void's interpretation of a pack hunter, stripped of biology and rebuilt from darkness. They are silhouettes of wolves made solid: four-legged shapes of absolute black with no features save two points of cold violet light where eyes should be. They make no sound except a faint static hiss when they move. They hunt in packs of 3-6, using the darkness itself as cover. In dim light, they are nearly invisible. In full darkness, they are indistinguishable from the shadows around them until they open their mouths and you see that the inside is also darkness, but with teeth.
