Overview
The World of Aethara exists under a permanent twilight. The Shroud — a diffuse, sourceless dimming — has replaced the sun, and what light remains is rationed, fought over, and prized above almost everything else. Cities cluster around Sunwells, ancient foci of natural radiance that hold the dark at bay. Beyond the walls, the Blightlands spread: Void-corrupted wilderness where creatures hunt by instinct and hunger, and where Wardens risk their lives maintaining the network of torchlit roads and waystations that keep civilization connected.
