*Unique to Sunderwake.* You open your eyes to the Shroud; the vast, dead curtain of Verath's remains that hangs between the world and the sky. For the duration, your vision shifts to a grey-scale perception that overlays your normal sight with the following benefits: - You can see invisible creatures and objects within 30 feet. - You can see into the Ethereal Plane to a range of 60 feet. - You perceive the residue of recent death: any creature that has died within the last 24 hours leaves a faint grey after-image at the location of its death. You can discern the creature's general size and shape, but not its identity. - You can see Void fractures: invisible tears in reality that leak darkness. These are normally undetectable but are revealed as jagged, pulsing lines of absolute black. The GM may use this to reveal hidden dangers, cursed objects, or proximity to the Void Beyond. While under the effect of *Grey Sight*, colours drain from your vision entirely. Everything you see is rendered in shades of grey. Additionally, bright light (including *Daylight* spells and Sunwells) causes you pain, you have disadvantage on attack rolls and Perception checks while looking at a source of bright light. The Ashen Church teaches that *Grey Sight* shows the world as Verath sees it: vast, quiet, and fading. Those who use it often report a feeling of profound sadness that lingers for hours after the spell ends.
