*Unique to Sunderwake.* You open your mind to the Shroud; the vast, grey remains of Verath that hang between the world and the sky. For the duration, fragmentary whispers fill your consciousness: snatches of conversation, half-formed warnings, echoes of events happening elsewhere beneath the veil. When you cast this spell, ask the GM one question about a creature, location, or event within 1 mile of you. The GM provides a truthful but cryptic answer in the form of fragmented impressions; a flash of an image, a phantom sound, a half-word. The information is never precise and is always filtered through the Shroud's inscrutable nature. Additionally, for the duration, you have advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks, as the Shroud lends its vast, diffuse awareness to your senses. Whether the whispers come from the remnant consciousness of a dead god or are merely Mana reverberations along the Shroud's crystalline structure is a matter of theological debate. Clerics of the Ashen Church insist the former. Wizards insist the latter. Both use the spell.
